Jack Opp

	Jack Opp., 69, of DuQuoin, passed away Monday, July 2, 2001 at 1:28 a.m. at Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
	Mr. Opp was a retired coal miner and had worked at the DuQuoin meat packing plant.  He was a member of Sunfield Baptist Church.
	He was born February 24, 1932 at St. Johns, the son of Verbon and Lucille (Downs) Opp.  He married Katherine Lynch on August 5, 1950 at DuQuoin.
	Mr. Opp was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing, hunting and camping.
	He is survived by his wife, Katie Opp of DuQuoin; two daughters, Karen Osborn of Fresno, Calif. and Judy Beckham of DuQuoin; three grandchildren, Jennifer Lively, Matthew Beckham and Andrew Beckham, all of DuQuoin, and two great-grandchildren, Michelle Davis and Alexis OKeefe, both of DuQuoin.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Vernon Opp and wife Marie and one nephew, Jeff Opp.
	Funeral services were Thursday, July 5 at 1 p.m. at Neal-McClure Memorial Chapel with Rev. Everett Freeman officiating.  Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park at DuQuoin.
	 Friends called at Neal-McClure Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until time of services.
	Friends may make memorials to the American Heart Association.
